We are continuously studying the physiological and biochemical pathways to understand possible mechanisms that contribute to the proper functioning of the body. We take the time to look at what you do daily, what is going in and what comes out \u2013 including all the physiology and biochemistry in between.[\/vc_column_text][vc_text_separator title=”Our Vision” title_align=”separator_align_left”][vc_column_text]Illness and disease are, simply put, your body\u2019s way of showing you that it is at dis-ease. The root of this dis-ease varies widely from person to person but, apart from certain hereditary conditions, it essentially boils down to some kind of imbalance in the physiological or biochemical pathways that have contributed to you becoming ill. How we look after our bodies, soul and spirit ultimately determine how healthy we are. What we eat and drink, how, when and how much we sleep, how much we stress, how we relax and have fun and how we recharge our spiritual batteries all determine how healthy we are. She is a diplomat of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and holds a fellowship in Anti-Aging and Regenerative medicine.<\/p>\n

Dr Maureen only uses neutraceuticals alongside Homeopathy for her treatment protocols. Her focus is to educate patients to facilitate improving their quality of life with particular emphasis on lifestyle management.<\/p>\n

She currently works with a lab in Switzerland and performs in-depth brain biomarkers with the intent of helping children with concentration difficulties and individuals that want to maximize their cognitive function. In-depth QEEG is performed in house. Commenced studies in Functional medicine in 2010, initially became Board Certified in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine (ABAARM) and later A Fellow in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (FAARFM) in 2013. Both ABAARM and FAARFM were awarded after completion of the written examination as well as a favourable review of credentials (USA).<\/p>\n

Started studies at the University of South Florida (USA) in 2014 and completed an MS in Medical Sciences with a Concentration in Metabolic & Nutritional Medicine.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″][vc_single_image image=”2749″ img_size=”full” css=””][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]I have a special interest in digestive imbalances as much of your immune system is regulated here, while healing the digestive system many illnesses such as allergies, autoimmune disease, arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, to name a few are improved if not healed.<\/p>\n

I also have a special interest in hormonal imbalances, our hormones are like a symphony, they all need to be regulated and once in balance the sound they produce is of health, wellness and vibrancy.\u00a0 No one hormone is more important than another, healing the symphony of hormones will deal with issues such as adrenal burnout, anxiety, stress, depression, fatigue, cravings, weight gain, fertility etc.<\/p>\n

Some important principles that I try my best to adhere to:<\/strong><\/p>\n

I continuously strive to understand the physiology of how the body functions, I assist patients in correcting their physiology once we understand the root cause of their dis-ease.<\/p>\n

I also have a desire to EDUCATE people about how their bodies work and how it is often time within their reach to heal themselves.
